International Crowd Management: Safety Satisfaction and Well-Being of International Event Attendees
Masterarbeit - Ly Le, Sommersemester 2024
With global tourism returning to its peak after years of hiatus, Taiwan's event industry has experienced an increase in international event attendees. This thesis aims to identify effective strategies and areas for improvement to enhance the event experience of international attendees. Through a comprehensive review of past events and on-field observations, a questionnaire is designed to gather in-depth feedback from event attendees. By comparing the event experiences of local and international attendees the discrepancy in safety perception and therefore gaps for improvement would be highlighted. This research adopts a novel approach by prioritizing the perspectives of attendees, revealing both positive aspects and potential enhancements in safety measures from the consumer's viewpoint. The results serve as a complementary guideline to existing event measures in Taiwan and an exemplary model for international crowd management practices.
